BRUS – new kid on the block

In an old iron foundry and locomotive factory in Copenhagen, the engines are starting to run again. Brand new brewing facilities, specialty products, bar buzz and an ambitious young chef’s team is breathing new life into the old warehouse.

BRUS is the name of Copenhagen’s next big thing!

Here To Øl is teaming up with the guy behind Mikropolis Bar to open a 750 m2 big brewpub in the heart of Nørrebro, Copenhagen.

With the Danish name for the frizzy feeling of great bubbling brew, BRUS is bringing the quirky, experimental approach to beer into a wider and wilder selection of micro-brewed beverages.  Brew masters will experiment with a continuous development flow counting hoppy IPA’s, barrel-aged craft beer, organic sodas, craft tonics, kegged cocktails, kombucha and mead; everything produced in small batches and bottled on location.

We’ve travelled the world to produce ever evolving and inspired beer. With the new brewpub, part of To Øl is coming back home. All production of our barrel-aged beer is moved from our cellars in Belgium to the premises on Nørrebro.

BRUS will first and foremost be brewing. But you can’t survive on ABV, bubbles and fermentation alone, which is why snack-attacks, specialized grocery shopping and classy, comfortable dining will also be a part of the game.

The drama is going down this summer. Copenhagen Beer Celebration hits the Nordic capital 13-14th of May, and to welcome all you beer geeks, lovers and life-drinkers to the city’s newest brew- and barrelpub, BRUS will strive to open the doors in the same gulp. If nothing else is ready, at least we’ll promise to keep the kegs cold, taps flowing and music pumping.
